Corporate Social Responsibility


  • The Popular Shoe Mart Group Samsthalu formed a Trust in the year 1977 with a goal to help the needy people of the society. Every year, donations are collected from Popular Shoe Mart, its sister concerns, our Partners, our Agents and our family members to distribute among the victims of Storms, Floods, Fire, Earthquakes; disabled poor, beggars, orphan children, old age homes etc.
  • Majority of our donations are being distributed to Sundaraiah Knowledge Centre, Chandra Rajeswararao Foundation, E.M.S. Academy, Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Sidhartha Foundation, Trusts of Nayudamma, Sanjivdev, Malldi Subbamma, Nandamuri Basavatarakam; Many Social Organizations, Senior Citizen’s Forum, Students Federations, Labour Organizations, Police Department, Lawyers Association & Rotatory Clubs.
  • Assistance was extended to the establishment of Marxist Study Centre and Endowment Lecture.
  • Donations were given to universities for honoring meritorious students with gold medals with the names of prominent persons who struggled for Social change.
  • Merit Scholarships were awarded to the students of Municipal Schools and Note Books were distributed on different occasions.
  • Assistance was extended for the construction of Electric Crematorium at Vijayawada and establishment of Children’s Health Care Unit in Government Hospital.
  • Efforts were made in enshrining the statutes of Lenin, Karl Marx and Angles by collecting donations and adding our contribution to it.
  • Thousands of Books and Chairs were donated to the Libraries, Auditoriums constructed by service organizations for conducting meetings & social gatherings in the entire State.
  • As a part of our social responsibility to help our fellow victims of natural calamities, we have given donations to organizations i.e., Armenia Relief Fund in Russia, Africa Fund, Chief Minister’s Funds of the states of Bengal, Kerala, Tripura, Maharashtra, Punjab, Bihar, Odisha, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Prime Minister’s Fund, and also to the District Collectors for various relief activities.
  • Medicines were supplied to the Vietnam Relief Fund and Medical Camps conducted at many places in the State.
  • When draught occurred in Rayalaseema and other places, porridge (“Ganji”) distributing centers were organized to save the lives of people.
  • Donations are being given to five Siddhartha Educational Institutions to recognize talents & suitably reward with “The Best Teachers” and “The Best Student” Awards every year.
